At my core I am a Visual Artist. To as far back as I can remember I’ve always made and sold things. Kayani New York started when I was a senior in college. Christmas 2013 my mother handed me a couple lockets and said “You’re gonna sell these. Don’t ask me for money anymore.” I didn’t know it then but I had a business. I graduated college with a degree in fine art and transferred my passion into my business. Creating lockets has become an essential part of my life. Connecting with my customers is altogether joyous, emotional, and spiritual. I have a deep love for creating beautiful things. Thank you for visiting my site and its my pleasure to share in your experience of creating your own locket.

One cool September morning in 2014 I woke up with the sole intention of finding a place to sell my jewelry. I hopped on the bus from Staten Island to the South Ferry and took the 20 minute ride into the city. I didn’t know where I was going but I got on the 1 train to Canal Street. I aimlessly walked the city I loved but barely knew. I walked a couple blocks into Chinatown and discovered the Feast of San Gennaro. It was booming and busy. I booked a space in the show and never looked back.
It all started right here on the corner of Mulberry and Canal St, Little Italy New York City.
